His late grandfather is a noted composer and major contributor to the world of traditional Irish music. It was Kevin’s talents in digital audio engineering that earned him entrance into the film industry and in 1994 he joined Segue Music. There, he learned his craft from Segue’s senior editors on such projects as Life, Brokedown Palace, Muppets in Space, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Ace Ventura II, Tommy Boy, Black Sheep, Vampire in Brooklyn, and Power Rangers: The Movie.

Recognized for his musical abilites, he worked 2 years on animated musical The Quest for Camelot, which won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song in 1999 and was also nominated for an Academy Award. The same year, Kevin won a Golden Reel Award for his work as Music Editor on another challenging musical, The Temptations. Prior to that, he was nominated for a Golden Reel Award as assistant music editor to J.J. George on The Nutty Professor, and was the assistant music editor on the Oscar nominated documentary The Wild Bunch: An Album in Montage.
