Mary Parker - Bio

Mary Parker’s love of music began with the study of classical piano as a child and ultimately drove her to pursue a career in music editing. Initially breaking into the industry as an apprentice film editor, she would eventually land a job apprenticing with the remarkable Else Blangsted. Learning the trade while on the Barbara Streisand film “Nuts” was quite a daunting but valuable first assignment. She moved quickly up to assistant-music editor, working on projects with the likes of Maurice Jarre, Patrick Williams, and Brad Fiedel.

After taking a break to have her daughter, Mary re-entered the field and now regularly works as a consulting music editor and supervisor for Disney and ABC. She has enjoyed working with talented, high profile composers including Clint Mansell, Nathan Barr, Charles Bernstein, Joel McNeely, and the late Michel Colombier.

Mary’s greatest loves are family and music. She approaches her job with enthusiasm and a smile and is a valuable member of the Mad 4 group.
